Singer/Guitarist wanted in New Haven

A New Haven based trio is looking for a singer/guitarist to round out our line-up. Qualifications are few, but important: you MUST be able to sing/scream and play guitar and actually WANT to do both, you have to be able to practice at least once a week in the New Haven area and you must have your own transportation (that last one we allow some leniency on, however).

We practice at a studio where we have free recording time, and so we have some MP3s of a couple of our first songs on our webpage (www.strikethecolors.com). For those of you with computer speakers, please listen to our music; for those of you without, we are influenced by Refused, the Pixies, June of '44, Fugazi, Unwound and a bunch of other bands that you know and love (right?)

Surf Drummer Wanted 

Well-established instrumental band with original CDs currently receiving 
worldwide distribution, 9th Wave, Connecticut's premier surf/instrumental 
combo, is currently auditioning drummers to round out its 4-piece lineup. We 
are looking for the following qualities: 

Energy - must be able to play numerous fast-but-short songs in rapid succession in classic and modern surf-rockabilly style

Experience - must have at least some stage and/or recording time playing drums with a band

Eagerness (to travel) - some of our shows have been out of state (NY or MA), we also play in RI, MD, NC and GA.

This is not a full-time position, meaning that most of us have (or want to 
have) jobs ¾ it's not a career path, but it is a hell of a lot of fun. We 
usually play 2-6 gigs a month, sometimes more in the summer.

"To whom it may concern:

I am sending this email to you because the band I play in is searching for a dedicated 2nd guitarist. Band name is TYMEPEACE out of Shelton, CT. and we are looking to fill out our live sound. We have had the opportunity to open
up for some national acts including Firehouse, Yngwie Malmsteen, Union (featuring ex-members of Motley Crue and Kiss). We are scheduled as an opening act for Grammy award winning guitarist Eric Johnson on Saturday, August 12th at The Webster Theater in Hartford, CT. In addition we gig fairly regularly in the lower Fairfield and New Haven County areas. Though primarily an original act we do play a variety of cover material depending on the venue requirements. We are looking for someone to be a compliment to our existing sound. That person needs to be comfortable handling both lead and rhythm duties in a very dynamic and unique sounding band. Rehearsals are twice a week in Shelton, CT. and we are not looking to play every weekend at every "dive" bar around. Age bracket should be between 25-40 yrs old. Person needs to be reliable, have own transportation, some kind of demo tape/CD, a great ear (along with some general theory knowledge), and reliable equipment. We are currently finishing up our second studio recording and hope to have that finished within the month. Currently we are getting local
air play (off our first CD A TWYST OF TYME) on some of the FM stations in the area. "

priced would help. Could lead to many more opportunities. Canadian vocalist 
to perform for WAH Enterprises LLC ,Equipment needed would be vocal mikes  Sure 58 Beta, guitar direct boxes, guitar stands, direct boxes for keyboard  monitor for keyboard, reverb unit. ( East Hartford Area)
